Ron Hunter has owned dive forster for 28 years, and despite his advanced years (he claims to be only 34, but this is obviously not correct), he regularly joins and leads visiting divers in discovering what he describes as “some of the best, most exciting diving on the planet”. David Hinshelwood is our chief PADI diving instructor and has 15 years of diving and instructing experience. David’s favourite course that he teaches is the PADI Shark Awareness Course. We at dive forster were the world originators of the PADI Shark Diver Courses. David has a vast knowledge of all of the dive sites that we visit and is a very passionate conservationist. He works tirelessly to protect the Grey Nurse Sharks. David also drives the “Avanti”. David’s favourite dive site is Latitude Rock
Mark Dujmovic another of our PADI diving instructors has over 10 years diving and instructing experience. Mark also drives the “Avanti”. Mark’s favourite dive site is Big Seal Rock
Neil Bunting one of our Divemasters has an infinite knowledge of the local diving. Neil has over 15 years diving experience and has been leading divers for the last 10 years. Neil’s favourite dive site is Spot A
Gordon Finn another of our Divemasters has over 4 years diving experience and has logged over 500 dives. Gordon has a calming nature and looks after visiting divers with great care. Gordon’s favourite dive site is The Pinnacle.
Hamish McDonald another Divemaster is a bubbling irrepressible spirit. He also has a vast knowledge of the local diving. With over 7 years diving experience and over 1000 logged dives Hamish is able to impart his passion for diving to visiting divers. Hamish’s favourite dive site is Jimmy’s Cave at Seal Rocks.
Marcus Coombes yet another of our experienced Divemasters is a very attentive dive guide. Marcus is a “fish” in the water and always shows his charges a great time. Marcus is currently studying Marine Biology at university. Marcus’s favourite dive site is Jimmy’s Cave at Seal Rocks.
Adam (Ballast) Dujmovic is one of our boat crew. Adam doesn’t say very much, but he takes his job of looking after the onboard checks of divers and their needs very seriously. Adam’s favourite dive site is Diamond Reef.
Spinner the Boat Dog is here to meet and greet all visiting divers. He just loves going out on the “Avanti”.
Matilda the Wharf Dog is also here to meet and greet and generally keeps everyone entertained.
