So you've done your Open Water Course and you're hooked! Read on to find out more about our PADI continuing education courses

PADI Advanced Open Water Diver

Our PADI Advanced Open Water Dive course is designed to build on the skills you learnt in your Open Water Course. You'll cover two core specialities, and three specialities of your choice, over two days.

Core specialities:

  • Deep
  • Navigation

And choose three of the following:

  • Peak performance buoyancy (highly recommended)
  • Night Diving
  • Fish Identification
  • Underwater Naturalist
  • Dive Against Debris
  • Search & Recovery
  • Boat Diving

Pre- requisites:

  • PADI Open Water Diver Certification, or equivalent
  • we recognise other certifications from other agencies
  • There are technically no minimum number of dives for to complete this certification, but we recommend at least ten logged dives after your Open Water Course 

Inclusions:

  • 4 boat dives
  • 1 shore dive
  • Tanks & weights for duration of course
  • PADI eLearning theory
  • eCard Certification
  • 12 month membership to our Dive Club - SCUBA Squad
  • Use of compass for navigation

Budget for:

  • Hire equipment other than tanks & weights
  • If doing Night Dive Speciality, you will need your own torch

PADI Rescue

Diver

Our PADI Rescue Diver Course introduces concepts that you won't have come across before - learn to recognise issues before they become problems, help other divers, and be a better buddy.

What you'll learn:

  • Helping stressed & panicked divers
  • Rescuing unconscious divers
  • Recognising signs of a diver who's nervous


What's involved:

  • You'll do online theory prior to your practical
  • You'll do simulations with other students and your instructor
  • You'll have a heap of fun and learn some vital skills



Pre-requisites

  • Hold a PADI Advanced Open Water Certification, or equivalent
  • While there's no minimum amount of dives to begin this course, you should be completely comfortable with your diving, and have dived in a variety of conditions

Inclusions:

  • 4 dives and/ or in water simulations & sessions
  • Tanks & weights for duration of course
  • PADI eLearning theory
  • eCard Certification
  • 12 month membership to our Dive Club - SCUBA Squad
  • Use of special rescue equipment, such as a pocket mask, life ring, etc.

Budget for:

  • Hire equipment other than tanks & weights
  • Your first aid course - this must be completed prior to the practical
