SCUBA DIVING DAY CHARTERS


• Meet at dive centre at 8am for gear set up and wetsuit fit out.
• Boat departure at 8:30
• Always give us a call the day prior to reconfirm the schedule as it may vary within 30 - 60 mins, also to confirm the weather conditions are suitable

Diver Requirements and Responsibilities

  1. Proof of certification
  2. Proof of certification MUST be shown of the minimum certification level required prior to your dive with Dive Forster. If you are unable to provide proof of certification you will be unable to dive with us.
  3. You must be medically fit to dive
  4. If you have had a change in your health since you completed your dive training, it is your responsibility to obtain medical clearance prior to your dive with Dive Forster.
  5. If you fail to arrive for your dive at the scheduled departure date and time, no refunds or credits will be issued unless under exceptional circumstances
  6. You will be required to sign a waiver form prior to departure
  7. If you have done less than 10 dives and haven’t dived in the last 12 months, you will need to complete a refresher with one of our Divemasters prior to your departure date.
  8. Weather Dive Forster reserves the right to cancel any tours due to weather conditions for the safety and comfort of our guests and staff. These include but are not limited to swell, wind, wave, visibility and currents. Dive Forster also may change the location of diving due to these factors – this decision is usually made the morning of the excursion. We cannot take bookings specifically for locations, e.g. Seal Rocks or The Pinnacle due to their weather dependent nature. Divers will be required to dive regardless of their preferred dive site if Dive Forster needs to change dive plans according to conditions.


Cancellations, and changes to bookings

Cancellations and Changes

Dive Forster reserves the right to cancel any tours due to weather conditions for the safety and comfort of our guests and staff. These include but are not limited to swell, wind, wave, visibility and currents. Dive Forster also may change the location of diving due to these factors – this decision is usually made the morning of the excursion. We cannot take bookings specifically for locations, e.g. Seal Rocks or The Pinnacle due to their weather dependent nature. Divers will be required to dive regardless of their preferred dive site if Dive Forster needs to change dive plans according to conditions.

By booking a space onboard our day charter, Dive Forster is guaranteeing a place for you on a dive, and you are entering an agreement with us guaranteeing you will turn up for the booked dive. We understand things happen and plans change, so we have the following policy in place for your booking:

  • Changes/ cancellations up to 7 days prior to booked date
  • You are free to cancel your booking any time prior to one week before your booked dive
  • Changes/ cancellations between 7 days and 48 hours prior to your dive
  • You may change your booked day to an alternative date free of charge
  • If you wish to cancel your dive altogether and not change to another date, you will be charged a $20 administration fee and no credit will be given
  • Within 48 hours of booked dive
  • You will be charged the cost of a double boat dive not including hire gear (i.e. $120 per person)
  • The cost of this can be used as a day charter credit within 12 months on a standby basis
  • No show
  • No refund, credit or voucher will be provided for no show bookings – you will be charged the cost of a double dive not including hire gear (as above, $120 per person)


PADI DIVE COURSES

The following terms and conditions apply to Dive Course bookings:

  • There is no refund available in case of change of mind – please carefully consider this prior to signing up for a dive course
  • PADI Courses require completion of a dive medical questionnaire prior to beginning the practical components of the course. If students answer “yes” to any of these questions, they will require clearance from their doctor to be able to undertake any SCUBA diving practical activities
  • Should you fail your dive medical, we will refund you the cost of the course, less any fees charged by PADI. PADI usually offers refunds on eLearning costs in the event a student has been deemed medically unfit to dive. Dive Forster will require written evidence of a failed medical prior to any refund being issued.
  • Once you have started a course, you must complete the course within 12 months.
  • No refunds will be provided for students who start a course and decide not to finish it - Dive Forster will give students any and every opportunity to complete their course and we have a very high success rate of completing student certifications.


SNORKELLING TOURS AND SNORKELLING LESSONS


Ocean Snorkelling Tours

Participant Requirements and Responsibilities

  1. Swimming ability
  2. You must be able to confidently swim 100 metres without stopping
  3. You should be comfortable in the water and able to snorkel, or learn to snorkel, calmly and confidently. 
  4. You must be medically fit to snorkel
  5. If you have any pre existing medical conditions, this must be discussed with your Divemaster prior to embarking on a snorkelling tour. 
  6. If you fail to arrive for your dive at the scheduled departure date and time, no refunds or credits will be issued unless under exceptional circumstances
  7. You will be required to sign a waiver form prior to departure

Dive Forster also may change the location of snorkelling due to these factors – this decision is usually made the morning of the excursion. By booking a space onboard our snorkelling tour, Dive Forster is guaranteeing a place for you, and you are entering an agreement with us guaranteeing you will turn up for the booked snorkel. We understand things happen and plans change, so we have the following policy in place for your booking:

  • Changes/ cancellations up to 7 days prior to booked date
  • You are free to cancel your booking any time prior to one week before your booked snorkel
  • Changes/ cancellations between 7 days and 48 hours prior to your snorkel
  • You may change your booked day to an alternative date free of charge
  • If you wish to cancel your snorkel altogether and not change to another date, you will be charged a 20% administration fee and no credit will be given for this fee
  • Within 48 hours of booked snorkel
  • You will be charged the cost of an ocean snorkel ($70 per person)
  • The cost of this can be used as a day charter credit within 12 months on a standby basis
  • No show
  • No refund, credit or voucher will be provided for no show bookings – you will be charged the cost of an ocean snorkel ($70 per person)
