Statis Island is a pleasant dive site located off the front (north - eastern) of Boat Beach at Seal Rocks. Characterised by an aggregation of Grey Nurse Sharks around the point of this island, Statis Island gives divers a nice long bottom time, plenty of fish life and an easily navigable underwater topography. This dive site is best done as a boat dive, however it can be done as a shore dive, after a long swim from Boat Beach. If doing as a shore dive, please be aware of strong currents in this passage between the island and the main land. Call us for more advice on this dive site.
